HOTEL LOCATION MAP
The Whipper-In was a coaching inn in the 17th Century, and is renowned for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is a building of immense charm and character, the ancient oak beams complement the rich fabrics in warm hues. The hotel is situated on the Market Square of Oakham, the county town of Rutland; Britain's smallest county. The hotel has 24 bedrooms, which have been attractively decorated and furnished by interior designers. The public areas of the hotel have real fires and deep armchairs, and in the summer months the courtyard is the ideal place to relax with friends or colleagues. There are many attractions and points of interest nearby such as Rockingham Racetrack, Burghley House, which is famous for the filming of the Da Vinci Code, Belvoir Castle, Rutland Water (the largest man-made reservoir in Europe) and the RAF bases at Cottesmore and Wittering.
